Case Study - Bag Mount

Central Engineering Design was asked by one of its customers to produce a medical connector called a bag mount. This particular connector forms part of an anaesthetic circuit and its primary function is to stop the inner surfaces of the bag sticking on paediatric circuits. The following displays part of the production cycle:

1. CNC turned body part	2. Cage wires cut and formed
3. Body parts drilled	4. Cage wires soldered into body

The final product specification for this CE marked component contained an internal conical gas taper conforming to BS and EN standards. Minimum production runs on components such as this can be as little as "50" off at sensible costs!
