History/Background

This 1977 Suzuki GT 500 is a survivor from the late 70s. It spends decades rusting away in a garden shed and was truly a barn find waiting to be restored.

This big old two-stroke was one of the last dinosaurs and was phased out in favour of four strokes due to emissions in the late 70s early 80s.

What We Did

This bike was completely stripped down to every nut and bolt. The engine had a top end rebuild with new pistons and nickel bores. The frame was was powder-coated, all the chrome was re-chromed by ourselves and tank plus panels were professionally re-painted. The wheels were rebuilt with new spokes and all new bearings and brake linings. All the wiring was redone and many new original parts were replaced during the restoration.
