History/Background

This cash register dates from 1907 and was a sweatshop or tobacconist version. These tills were in commission in the UK until decimalisation in 1969 after which most were scrapped.

This till spent decades in the basement of a shop until we purchased it from an antique dealer.

What We Did

The till was stripped the till of its panels which were vapour blasted, polished and lacquered. All the mechanical parts were serviced, numbers & locks replaced, woodwork restored and sovereign draw lid remade.
